Lately i have been running out of memory while playing certain games and it is driving me crazy
So i decided to buy SAME RAM memory (HyperX blu 1x8GB 1333Mhz).

While i was searcing the internet i couldn't find the same type in my country (Serbia), (Ordering from other country is not an option). So i was wondering if i should buy NEW kit 2x8GB or can i combine mine with some other memory 8GB and which one?. I would perfer combining if possible.

What do you think?

Solution
No need for a kit, just buy one more 1x8GB with 1333MHz and same voltage. Even if they don't work in dual channel you won't lose anything in gaming, the difference is noticabe only while wroking with databases and such with extremely big logging files and indexes.

There's no guarantee another stick will even work at all with the old. Always best to get a full set in a single package. The forums are full of threads like this and the people having no luck mixing DRAM. Yes, you can take a chance - and if no joy, pay return shipping, restocking fees, etc ;) which many have had to do

You won't see any gaming performance, if that's what your're doing on pc, with dual channell RAM.. as a matter of fact some test showed that dual channel does even worse in gaming so I wouldn't really worry if they will work as DC or not.

You will only see the real difference in high database computing such as extreme big logs, a little bit in video editing and compressing.. but in gaming, no

Like anything else, in gaming fast DRAM, DUAL, tri, quad channel DRAM, the amount of DRAM and how it affects things depends on the individual game - you can't simply generalize. More and more the game developers are utilizing DRAM both in speed and amounts. These are growing trends that won't change
