My computer was in sleep mode and then I pushed the power button to wake it and left (I didn't want it in sleep mode)... After half an hour I came back and noticed that only the PSU was working (and its fan was spinning) no other fans were spinning and there was no signal to the display....

Anyway, I pulled the plug off of the PSU and plugged it back in and then it Booted perfectly....

And I fixed the sleep issue, so I have no problems now...

But is it possible that since the PSU was running and thus supplying power to the PC, that my CPU or GPU could have been damaged?

My specs :
5820K
AsRock X99 Extreme4
Seasonic M12ii 620W
GTX 950

Solution
That is a power save feature, the damage could possible appear due to unplug the psu without a safe shutdown, never unplug your computer directly, if you dont want sleep or hibernate deactivate them from power option menu.

EDIT: If your computer starts dont worry, it is fine but in future dont unplug it directly.

Ok, I was just worried that maybe the PSU could have caused damage as the PSU was providing power to my LEDs, so I thought it may have been providing power to the Cpu....

Is this what they call deep sleep?

You can say that.
