Hello everyone, I decided to upgrade my memory and purchase 1x8Gb Kingston HyperX 1866MHz CL10 1.5V 10-10-10-30 memory.

I'll have my 4gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz cl9 1.5v 9-9-9-24 memory left so my question is can i mix them and get 12gb?

My question is whether matching these two ram kits wont damage my system, if it wont work ill just use the kingston one :)

Solution
Well as you have posted the corsair ram runs at 1600MHz while the kingston CAN run at 1866MHz if your processor supports it.
But when you mix them together the both will run at the common frequency of 1600 MHz .
But in short yes they both will work together with no problems .
Cheers!
