Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 2666 LED vs G.Skill Trident Z 16GB DDR4 16GTZB Kit

Solution

The Z170X Gaming 7 is the better choice between those two.
Make another thread for a build with a budget in local currency and PM it to me, i'll help out with your budgeting and try to get in the best possible performance. :)

The Trident Zs are overpriced for the performance they offer.
Get the Corsair Vengeance LEDs, picked some up in my rig and they look great! :)
They also come in 3200/3000MHz if you need the extra clock speed for rendering, and are priced much better than the TridentZ series.

what about if you had to choose between the following Z170 motherboards: Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero and the Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 7?

G.Skill for sure. Tried Corsair, would not run at rated 3200Mhz. Bought G.Skill Trident Z after finding out they overclock better, problem disappeared. Corsair's website is so outdated, they don't even list my motherboard which has been out for a while now (MSI Gaming Pro Carbon).
