Well, I recently scrapped some computer parts off of old systems that were going to be thrown away, and assembled an old lga 775 system. Anyway this gtx 470 has been tested in two different systems and both don't allow either system to post to the bios (both 1000+ watt psus). The fans would starts and stop (all fans in the system). If it is indeed dead then I have been considering baking it (not in the same oven I cook food btw), (it was free so I not to worried about it) and if you guys could suggest a good guide on that sort of thing then I would be much obliged.

Well, I opened it up top find a component that looks like it has a broken prong/ soldering joint. Below the M in VMEM and above the fan screw at the top where it says U502. Otherwise ignore text.

It is the middle joint and my question is is whether it is just that way or is my card actually missing it. Can't get a definitive picture of one to see.
