i overclocked my gv-n970wf3oc-4gd (Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 970) and i want to share some results :)

i used MSI afterbuner to preform the overclock and 3DMARK for benchmarks
i used the FireStrike extreme benchmark.

and without further ado, here are the results:

GPU clock:
stock : 5282
+50 : 5460 68 degrees
+100 : 5594 69 degrees
+150 : 5683 70 degrees

memory clock:
+50 : 5726
+100 : 5760
+150 : 5764,still 70 degrees

overall i achieved 482 points,roughly 9%

soo... what do you guys think? was it good? any tips/tricks?

Solution
That's not bad, I was only able to achieve +150 mhz on my GPU clock on the GTX 1060. So quite frankly, I think you did a great job on the GPU clock.

1). Try to push your Memory Clock further. I myself was super surprised how far I can push it while remaining stable, and was able to push it +700 Mhz. Try +300 Mhz on the memory and go from there.

2). Remember to stress test, I personally use FurMark but I've heard it can heat up your components real quick if you screwed up with your voltages or something.

3). Also, set your "Power Target" as high as possible on your overclocking software.

Good luck!

Edit: Just confirmed some GTX 970s have reached +600mhz on the memory, so give it a try.

i actually felt a performance boost while testing the OC,after that i played Mass effect 3 for a few hours(i know, old game... but still should give the card a kick)

no anomalies so far...

conclusion:
1. i had some stuttering on +150 core clock so i lowered it down to +135,which seem to work well..
2. i changed memory clock to +300 like you said, seems good enough

and i stress tested with furmark for 100,000 frames(around 20 minutes)
i have reached 77 degrees temperature(that's not too hot,right?)

i can see a noticable change in graphics after this OC and the card is running stable(no glitches\shutdown and so on)

i think this will be my final overclock - i am happy with the results...
