This isn't a company like IBUYPOWER or Cyberpower although I'm sure I could get better for the same amount of money but the reason I went to a local computer store was because I worry of the shipping process with companies such as IBUYPOWER and Cyberpower. I hear that some computers come flawless and others are messed up somehow. I have no knowledge in regards to computer specs so I'm worried I'm not getting the best deal I could for my money.

Solution
Can't tell.... the fact that no make / model numbers are included would make me shy away .... could easily to a i7 / 1070 build for that price

This build meets the stated requirements.... for $1,000 less

If your in the Seattle area, also check out Puget systems: www.pugetsystems.com

A few quick clicks gives me this setup with their "Spirit" desktop system
Core i5 6500 (3.2Ghz)
16GB ram
GTX 950 2GB (EVGA)
500GB Samsumg EVO SSD
520w Seasonic PSU
CyroRig M9i CPU cooler
Fractal design mid-tower case
win10 Pro

1 yr parts warranty
LIFETIME tech support (they will still talk to you in the year 2050)

$1644 + shipping & tax

cheap? no, but you get what you pay for. And the warranty and support makes up for it.
The system I got from them is 6yrs old and still kicks butt.

You will need to buy 2 G-1/4 fittings, some tube and some extra coolant from Swiftech

Hand that to a local mom and pop PC shop and they should easily be able to meet ya $1800 budget

laptop? your thread title says desktop

anyway - go fuss with their configuration page
https://www.pugetsystems.com/nav/spirit/customize.php?utm_expid=85596-19.sEvBZvopTx6XQvUyVQBzYQ.0&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pugetsystems.com%2Fspirit.php

You can pick anything from Intel graphics to dual AMD cards to a GTX 1080

Also remember they will ship you the PC ready to go. Just turn it on, log in to steam and start gaming.

No way man, unless you just like spending your cash,
build your own, brother, you'll be glad you did or buy but spend as little as possible, save that extra cash invest it in a stock, then youll have some cash for the next one, lol

I bought an office machine, put a graphics card in it, GTX750 Ti,and it lasted 6 years, just broke today.
