So I'm head to college soon and my mouse was starting to deteriorate a bit (curse you, rubber coating.) so I felt the time had come for a mouse upgrade. I spent years using a Steelseries WoW Cataclysm mouse (this guy) so I wanted something with similar features (decent amount of programmable buttons, lighting, etc) and finally settled on a Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum and I have been using it for several days now. It's a very nice mouse, good amount of buttons, nice lighting, good click feel, nice build quality, all that.

Here's the problem.
There's no little finger rest.
That Steelseries mouse I used kind of trained me into a palm grip, and the Proteus is definitely aimed more towards claw grip. I've been getting hand cramps, and no amount of buttons or LEDs can justify discomfort.

Here's a picture of my hand next to it for some size comparison:

So, before I return it, I wanted to ask for some opinions on what I should try out. The current try-out list is as follows:

Mionix NAOS 7000 https://mionix.net/product/naos-7000/
-I'm told it's huge and comfy, which is kind of what I'm after. Sadly, not a ton of buttons (but I think I'll manage.)

Logitch G600 http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse
-This one was recommended to me by two different friends, both who own it. Tons of buttons, and looks pretty comfortable.

I wanted to see if anyone had any lesser-known or better suggestions. These are the best 2 I could come up with, but I'm sure there are good ones that slip under the radar and go unnoticed by the usual crowd.

Thank you!

Go to Best Buy, Microcenter, Staples or any other store that has a decent selection of mouse's,(mice?) and physically put your hands on them for fit. Customizable buttons are great, but as you've found out, the wrong mouse is just a pita. I used an old Dell 3 button optical for years and loved the way it felt in grip, and I do like my new Cougar 600m, the 6 buttons being a trade off vrs slightly less comfort

I ended up doing this and after trying several mice I landed on the Naga Hex V2. Thanks all for your help and suggestions!
