Removing Arctic i-30 cpu cooler

I lost the manual and I need to momentarily remove my arctic i-30 fan to replace the thermal paste. As you can see i have to take away the black fan part to remove some screws. If i push it doesn't seem to move, i am worried i could break it if i push too strong, anyone with the same fan knows the proper way to do it ?

1). Tug at the black side lip of the fan outward and away from the metal fins.

2). All done.
