Hello people!

Hi everyone, i have some sort of issue with RAM.

I just bought 2x 4 GB Kingston (Serial no. KVR16N11S8/4) and i put them in blue slots (Mainboard: Asus P7H55-M SI) but when i turn on the computer, it restarts in 2 seconds, just after the ASUS logo.

I cannot even enter BIOS.

However, when i put only one, i can enter BIOS, but cannot boot into Windows (10), it restarts when logo shows up.

Tried to lower frequency to 1333, 1066, 800 Mhz, nothing works. My mainboard doesn't have voltage settings in BIOS (upgraded BIOS to latest version)

I hope you can help me.
Thank you in advance.

Hello... In many of these first generation intel "i" CPU's and MB chipsets, the memory controllers had some "special" memory specifications... I have seen these warnings and exclusions in the compatibility notes on Kingston's and other Memory makers sites.

Ok your CPU Secs it will run DDR3 1066/1333 http://ark.intel.com/products/48505/Intel-Core-i3-550-P...

Here you will find those Kingston sticks are only compatible with Asus H61 and above chipset models... http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search/?partid=kvr16n... move your mouse to the right of the BLUE "Show all systems that work with this memory"

So you need to do a Kingston or other memory makers site search for "H55" compatibility Ram sticks... OK? B )

Causes

1. Bios corrupt after upgrade
2. HDD crash
3. RAM modules faulty

If you could reset your Bios and redo the config with your New RAMs, it would be clear to know the exact coz or source of this issue!

Everything works with my old memory, and I'm sure that the new memory is not faulty because they tested it, so it has to be something to do with configuration (i guess)

Is it possible that my mainboard doesn't support this memory?

Is a possibilliterate but yang can always look up the specs of the new ram and setting the memory timings ect and when it comes to ddr and rambunctious ram yang actually got to use the same models ram and more preferably matched pairs .

It's a matched pair - 2 x 4 GB, but i don't see why they would've sent me this memory since i specificaly said to send me RAM for this mainboard. Salesman convinced me that this modules fit for this mainboard

See if your RAMs are DDR3/4/5 adn which specification does your MoBo supports. Lastly, check the HDD too.

Then I will stick with Bios Upgrade or HDD issue! Can you simply reformat the OS and try to put a new one in it.. off course you wont get Win 10 upgrade any more, as it is closed!

Here's a link man for your model motherboard download the tested ram list for the board. The mainboard yang got supports up to 2200 mhz October ram so shouldnt be a problem just check the newest qvl list for ram for your board from the Asus we site with the link I gave ya . Very well could be a hardware incompatiability issue if that the case return it and order some that on the official qvl list for your mainboard

- HDD is ok, since it works with my old memory modules.

- BIOS is upgraded to the newest version that i could find on the manufacturers website.

I didn't try to remove battery, let me try that.

Hello... Any time you move/change or Test your RAM, you should do a MB/BIOs CMOS Reset between Tests.

Take your time here and be slow and careful to your MB... look in your MB manual/Pdf for pictures and location of the SW/pins. B )

1) un-plug PS from wall.
2) remove MB battery
3) place jumper pins/switch on MB to clear the capacitors... for ~1 min
4) remove Jumper/switch
5) re-install battery

Look in your manual for the correct RAM slots you want to use/test for "Dual channel" OR "single channel" operation with this MB.

6) re-move and re-seat your RAM stick(s) into the MB slots.
7) plug monitor into the MB video output OR Video card for a BOOT display, And set your monitor for that cable input.
8) plug in PS to wall
9) Boot computer.
