computer problems beeping on startup

Ok, so I'm currently at school typing this, but anyway one of our dell computers I turned on started making a loud ehhhhhh ehhhhhh noise. The teacher made a request to the tech team to fix it. I was wondering what is wrong with it, I'm thinking it's a hardware failure. The computer is a optiplex 330. Again I think it was a cpu failure, or a ram failure.

Could someone throw in their 2 cents about the issue?

Yeah, its likely under powered board, failing MEM, or CPU issue, perhaps something came lose or cpu cooler issue.
Inspect inside, reseat as much as you can, turn it on and observe.
