https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5-NVIDIA-GeForce-Graphics/dp/B00NFFAW50

CPU: AMD A8-6600k
8 GB of ram

EDIT: PSU = 5A 230V MAKE = 500w Atx Switching Psu Power Supply Unit With 12cm Silent Fan

Yeah "PSU: 500 wattage" tells me you probably don't have a very good power supply and it gets overloaded as soon as the graphics card gets cranked to max. You'll probably need a new power supply.

If you want to be 100% sure it's the power supply install MSI afterburner and watch the GPU's temperature when you start a game because the GPU overheating is the only other possible reason for this (although pretty unlikely).

What is the make/model of your psu?
Does it have an 8 pin pcie power lead?
Cheap psu's do not deliver advertised power.
If you needed to use a 8 pin adapter of some sort, it is an indication that the psu can not deliver 8 pin power.

See if you can't test with a known good psu that is sufficiently strong.

And... be prepared for disappointment. Your games are likely to be underperforming because of weak cpu core speed.
