They will work quite well together, a good match If I ever heard one, I would feel free to go as high as a gtx 960 if you can afford better.... on the amd side a r9 270x/R9 380 would also be fine.
The only issue you might run into is large online games.
That cpu is more than capable of gaming with most low mid range video cards.
