I accidently got some really small hiars (around one on each ram card or maybe just the one) its like the 3mm in length curled up on the golden connectors and i have no idea how to get it off with out messing up, will it damage my RAM? Im a paranoid person so go easy on me and could you give me some solutions on how to clean it or get rid of it?
*i think the plastic bit is called a heat shield well getting finger oils and remnants of tissue on that is fine?*

Solution
Brush it off with a dry clean paint brush.

I have three dogs and the inside off my many machines is a giant ball of fur that needs periodic cleaning.

A hair on the contacts should come right off unless its stuck on with glue (or something), and removal should not damage anything if done carefully.

Wipe any finger oil off with a swab dipped in alcohol and then let it dry completely. And quit touching the contacts or get a pair of rubber gloves if you can't handle the equipment by the non-contact edge.

The heat sink on memory is not plastic, usually aluminum, but in any case unless you are Hannibal Lector there should not be remnants of tissue on anything. :sarcastic:
