Hello everyone, I have just put together my first pc and everything seems to be working except for two hiccups. My cooler fans, case fans and graphics card fans are starting up just fine but nothing pops up on my monitor screen and I get 2 letter in the top right of my mobo saying "AE", i'm assuming the "AE" is in regards to not having my Windows 10 installed which isn't a problem but I would assume that something would pop up on my monitor at least. My keyboard lights up when I plug it into the motherboard USB, the motherboard lights up and the start/Reset buttons are lit up, graphics card is lit up with fans running, there isn't a noise upon turning on my system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance,
- Kris

p.s. if you need any pictures or anything don't be afraid to ask, im heading to bed right now but ill be home all day tomorrow to answer any questions or post any pictures!

Solution
Make sure the monitor is plugged directly to the GTX 1080's display ports, not the motherboard.
Make sure that both the 8 pin pcie power slots on the gTX 1080 is plugged in. Use the 6+2 pin pcie plugs from your power supply

Welp, I went ahead and waited to do anything until my Windows 10 was installed onto my flashdrive. I plugged her in, turned her on and she works now! Thanks a ton for the fast response though Suztera, I did change my Displayport cord from my motherboard to the graphics card and that solved my "No Display issue".

Cheers mate,
- Kris
