Just got my Alienware from a friend and someone messed with the bios and now when you turn it on it says repairing disk errors over and over it has windows 8 it also says meatsnot not detected

Solution

If you got this from a friend, why not ask him what was done to the BIOS? Check the drive mode, it may have been changed from AHCI to ATA or legacy, that would cause it not to boot. The disk errors, well, that is a disk error, would not be a BIOS thing, get a new hard drive, install Windows on that.
Going into your Bios, you should have an option to restore the settings to factory or default. That won't have anything to do with the errors you're seeing, though. It sounds like your drive has failed. You'll have to replace it and reinstall Windows.
