Partially access to the internet

Dear,
Since a couple of days ago i am having trouble with my internet,
I can't go on sites like twitter, tomwhardware and 90% of all websites i tried however i can access google, facebook, youtube and some other sites.
I tried "ping google.com" in command prompt but it timed out.
Only i have this problem, my family can access the internet with no problems.
I use Windows 10 and i have a custom build pc which is currently exactly 1 year old. If you need any other information, ask me.
I defenitly think theres something wrong with my DNS cause when i try to go to a site it says this: "This site is not reachable", "The DNS adress from the server of www.tomshardware.co.uk (or any other site) was not found. "
I hope i can get this fixed really soon.

Electrical short circuits, water and people don't mix well. The people can wind up dead. Get that fixed first.

When the electrical situation is solved so the router is not flipping out every few days, I suggest you investigate the problems a bit more and post a new question.

It could be DNS problem so change the settings from the default to use Google's DNS servers.
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4


But if you don't have a specific reason for thinking so, check your computer for malware. Download malwarebytes on another computer to a usb drive then run it on the affected machine. Also try to reach antivirus sites to use the free downloadable scanner or trial software most of them have.

Ok so...
A few days ago when my internet first started not working my electricity had a short circuit because of my washing machine, today it happend again but now i can only get on the Internet with my pc and not with my phone (basically the opposite then before).

We have a modem which my pc is connected to with ethernet and we also have a router which is connected to the modem aswell. I just tried to turn off the router and now i can get on the internet with both my pc and phone but the problem is that the rest of my family was using the wifi from that router and because i unplugged it, my family complains about slow internet when they connect to the modem. They cannot use ethernet but still want the fast internet they had with the router that disturbs my internet. Help!
