Im looking to get more serious about pc gaming and ive decided to build one myself. Ive never done it before but ive done a lot of research and i think ive found quality components within my budget (under $2500 aud).

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170 X Gaming 7 LGA1151 ATX ($339)
CPU: Intel core i5-6600k ($339)
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 480 8gb ($439)
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4 3200MHz ($144)
SSD: Samsung 950 Pro 256gb M.2 ($229)
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500gb ($219)
CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i 240mm ($159)
Optical: Asus DRW-24D5MT 24x Dvd writer ($19)
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 Gold 850w ($199)
Case: Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5 Mid Tower Case ($185)

Total: $2271

My main question is anything there not compatible with another component? Also, is there any upgrades I could make to keep under my budget or any component that im missing but need? I would like to play modern games on high settings, would this rig do that and will it be capable of running future games?
Thanks.

Solution
Very nice overall.
> Get DDR4 2400 kit - much cheaper, not much performance difference if at all.
> The Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 performs better and cost less, also come with 4 fans.
> You can get a 650W version if you are not planning multi GPU.
> I'd pick a cheaper motherboard - it's not supposed to cost the same as CPU :)
> I'd get an i7-6700K with the money you saved above.
> 512GB M.2 SSD + 1-2TB HDD might be cheaper and better solution for storage.
> the rest is very IMHO: I would prefer the GTX 1060 as it cost the same, runs cooler and quieter, overclocks better and much stronger with current games except 2 sponsored by AMD (AoS and Hitman).
