I was wondering if getting another GTX 770 would give me a performance boost! Despite I already have one GTX 770 at 2GB and I would need to another one at 2GB. But im unsure if it will give me a boost if I only have 2GB of VRAM between the cards in SLI. Or should I just sell my first 770 and get a 970.

Sell 770 and get a 1060.
The 2gb vrsm will cripple you for demanding 1080p gaming. 6 of my 10 games I can name use 3-3.5gb vram.

Of course always depends on the deal you find, and what you're trying to accomplish. With the GTX 770 SLI you're still restricted to a 2gb frame buffer, but with the 970 you'd have 3.5gb. Do you find yourself more needing the extra vRAM, or are higher FPS more what you want?
Single cards are, of course, always the best solution (though this is getting better), but with SLI there will be some games that simply don't support it. On the other hand, many of them that do are the ones that need it most......but there are exceptions.

I think you will really regret sli the 770s. For the horsepower you'll want to play new aaa titles and even at 1080p that 2gb is not gonna cut it. Unless you play older titles in which case you don't really need sli.

1060? There are plenty of decent partner editions out now. It performs at 980 level, so no point getting a 980.
