As of now I'm thinking of buying the original xbox 360 controller but i'm a little confused as amazon shows two controllers given by microsoft,

http://www.amazon.in/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_22/254-7375514-0215628?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=xbox+controller+for+pc&sprefix=xbox+controller+for+pc%2Caps%2C701

The first one is wireless but as it requires batteries as written so I think getting the second one i.e wired controller is good. But it shows Xbox 360 controller for Windows XP?? I mean will it run on Windows 7 or not.

And finally Xbox One is quite costly and is it worth getting it for PC and will new upcoming games will support the old xbox 360 controller for PC.

Solution
Xbox One controller has no difference from Xbox 360 controller (apart from their design) if used with PC. Save money and get a Xbox 360. Also you should get a wired controller because a wireless one also need a separate wireless adapter from Microsoft to make it work. Any Xbox 360 controller will work with Windows 7.
