So I understand i7, the processor clock value, but need help in understanding what 4C HT L3:8M GT2 mean? I think that L3:8M is level 3 cache memory? I know that 35W represents thermal design power. But the other values I don't understand. Can someone please explain where I can lookup those acronyms up with an explanation of what they represent?

Along with that if I were to use an i7 with 90W as opposed to 65W or the 35W listed in my subject line would that necessitate changing out the cooling fan for the cpu to insure the thermal dissipation is able to be handled adequately? This system does not have a water cooling system. I got the cpu specs from the motherboard manufacturer and the website listed all supported cpu's for the motherboard. It is an ASUS H170-PRO-CSM

Thanks,
Mel
