Hey guys, this is my first build, so I'm kinda freaking out. Built my computer a few weeks back, but then like a week ago, it just wouldn't turn on. No fans powering on or anything. I unplugged the ssd, and the graphics card and nothing turned on, I made sure all the plugs were still in, nothing. I took the ram out and switched them with each other, and that fixed it. Put everything back in and it worked fine for a few days.

Now it's doing the same thing, tried all the same steps, it did turn on a couple times, but when I would shut it off with the power button, it would turn right back on again(this was right after I plugged in the case USB again.) So I switched the power off, and now it won't turn on again. I'm thinking it's a problem with the power supply, and hoping it's not the motherboard.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/pGv3Fd this is my build, except it's a gtx 980, not a 970.

Like I said, this is first build, so I don't have any spare parts to try. I'm honestly really scared and frustrated and worried that I messed up and can't fix it. Please help.

Solution
Not sure exactly what could be causing this, but like you said, maybe the power supply. However, here are a couple ideas that might be worth a try:

1. Update the BIOS to the newest version
2. Reset the CMOS and start all over

Hopefully somebody else will chime in soon with more experience that can help!
