Asus Z170 boards performance improvement by Bios update?

Hello,
I'm interested in the Asus Z170i Pro Gaming but it like other Asus boards has inexplicable performance drops in 3DMark and some CPU benchmarks. There are a lot of Bios updates for it and other Asus Z170 boards it seems, and I wonder if performance improvements might be part of them.

Yes Bios updates are for improved stability and possible performance increases and some newer USB devices.
Update your Bios to 1808 from here: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170I-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/

Thanks for the confirmation. Have there ever been benchmark comparisons? It seems to me some of the "Maximus VIII" Z170-boards which had first been reviewed are often lagging behind in more recent benchmark-comparisons. And I think it's supposed to be a high-performance line. Does anyone know about these issues?
