I plan on building a PC in about a month for entertainment/gaming/modeling purposes. Are all the parts compatible. Would this be able to handle heavy gaming and programs such as auto desk. And are there any recommendations for part switches and such. I thank all for their input.

Changed GPU, motherboard, PSU, CPU, and RAM.

GPU- The RX480 is much more powerful at $10 more than the 960.
Motherboard- Wanted to upgrade to newer socket (1151), and Z170 boards have all the bells and whistles.
CPU- Came with motherboard upgrade, and the i5-6600 is great for non-overclocking purposes. If you want to overclock, switch to the i5-6600K.
PSU- You needed something a little bigger with all these upgrades.
RAM- Mainly aesthetic change, but good speed.

you are getting overcharged tremendously for that gtx 960, its barely worth $150 nowadays. Water_Damage is also right, you will want to stick with the most modern cpu architecture because it performs better for the same price.
