Hey guys, i got a gaming PC awhile back and it was probably the best move i've ever made. I told my friend to hop into the PC world with me and he said he will when he finds a good computer for a good price... well today, he texted me saying he just bought this gaming laptop (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-15-6-Gaming-Laptop-Intel-Core-i7-6700HQ-1TB-HDD-NVIDIA-GTX-960M-/142075564623?hash=item21145d124f:g:2toAAOSwbsBXo9Cg) For $30 ?! i told him this had to be some scam and there is no way he could get that computer for $30... but he doesn't believe me :/ :??: so I told him i'll hit up this forum and was hoping you guys would help me convince him that this has to be some sort of scam. if it isn't, i'll be surprised. Thanks in advance guys !

Assuming they used PayPal (and hopefully a credit card), they'll have numerous layers of protection.

As for the seller, I'd be inclined to think they've been hacked. They have feedback as a buyer only (this is their first listing) and haven't been active in over 3 months.

Definitely a fly catcher type scam. 93 sold @ $30 = $2,790 to be withdrawn & the scammer will bail.

I'd recommend they file a dispute with eBay ASAP, and PayPal if used (and even their CC provider). They'll get their money back & eBay will likely take the add down.
I highly doubt it much like you it`s legit,
It looks to be a scam indeed

Your friend has probably just lost his $30 never to be seen again.

Its called a fly catcher scam, where it depends on lots of people in a short amount of time all being suckers and each paying $30 because it`s too good to be true and they are gullible, and by that time at $30 a person the money mounts up quickly then they scarper even quicker.
Often with fake user feedback ect.

The fact it does not state, shipping costs or postal charges is also a giveaway for me.
You know what they say if it looks to good to be true, it usually is Emojis.

In fact the cheapest you can buy one brand new in the package is close to $1000 or more.
