Evga Gtx 980 Not Sold New On Amazon

Hello,

Last year I bought a gtx 980, at the moment I could not afford the extra cash to go SLI, but now I have saved up the money and I can buy one. I went to go look for the same exact GPU on amazon, but I cannot find one brand new for a good price. I can no longer find one on Newegg too, except a refurbished one. Why is this because I am quite confused. Did Nvidia discontinue the GTX 980?

Yes they stopped producing, and stocking GTX 980 cards in a lot of places Nbanas.
As the GTX 980 Ti replaced that model number a few months back.
In some places it can cost an extra £50 more to get a Ti version of a 980 card. What is left is just stock from retailers in most cases.


You can still get GTX 980 card new, you just have to look a bit more wider in your search for one.
