Hi, I'm going to be building a new PC soon and I just want to know the life span of the parts. I will be running games at high - ultra if I get at least 50+ FPS.

Parts are :

CPU : i5-6500
GPU - MSI RX 480 4GB (once it comes out)
Mobo : MSI B150M Pro-VDH
RAM : 2 x 4GB HyperX Fury DDR4
PSU : EVGA 500W 80+ PSU
HDD : WD Blue 1TB
SDD : Radeon R3 120GB

I'm hoping it will run 3 - 5 years if it's possible.

Solution
That's at the cheaper end of EVGA PSUs. It's not bad, but not great either; average at best.

It'll be fine for your build but you should upgrade it at the next opportunity, especially if you buy an unlocked CPU for overclocking.
It's impossible to say, as your requirements may change once you get more involved with PC gaming or games may evolve to require more powerful components in a short space of time.

The one component you'll be upgrading the most frequently is the GPU, which will probably be every two or three years. A PSU can outlast every other component, assuming you get a good one to start with and it doesn't break. Which model in the EVGA lineup are you getting?

I'll be upgrading my PC only in 4 or 5 years, not too soon. And as for the PSU model it's that silver rated one.

Welp, I've already bought the PSU so I can't do anything about it and I'm upgrading to 16GB of RAM in the future, not now.

That's not enough to go on. Is it a SuperNOVA G2, GS, NEXB? EVGA make a range of PSUs and some are better than others. If you have already bought it, there's nothing stopping you from returning it for a better model.

Alright thanks, chose this PSU because I'm kinda on a budget. Will upgrade once I get new parts, still wondering for the life span of this PC. Also, sorry for the late reply.
