Simple cooling question

I am using a Cooler Master CPU cooler with my gaming rig (Hyper 212 EVO) and the fan blocks one of the RAM slots. If I decide to add more memory to my system, I would need to switch the fan from a push to a pull configuration on the other side of the cooler. Would the cooling still be as efficient? The cooler has been a champ so far!

It should also be possible to mount the CPU fan a little higher then normal on the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Thus giving yourself a little extra room for your RAM.
