Hi All, today I have realised the rx 470 released at a good price for me. I was wondering, would a g4400 be ok for a temp cpu and upgrade later? How much bottleneck do you think. Should I compromise a bit and get the i3 6100 which is within goal if I can scrounge around a bit doing work. Thanks!! Anyway please help ( I know how to build pc. BTW Im aus so rip money for this pc..)

No sorry I might have written that in a confusing manner.

Get the i3 6100, do not get the g4400.

You'll be up and running well, good luck mate!

Yes, the i3 6100 is a safe/great choice and a great match with the RX 470. Its hyperthreading is fantastic over the pentium.

It'll give you an upgrade path for the future and well worth its price.

Half the comments in Tom's Hardware on any post is "Get the i3 6100", so I'm positive you'll be happy with the result.

In fact, I have a video of the exact frame-rates you can expect with a i3 6100 + RX 470: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7t6lN2-bK8) - Although this was with the i3 6100t (a lower power version of the i3 6100) - get the normal one.

Cheers mate, hope this helped.

So you think it is worth to get the g4400 and get a pc now and upgrade later to the i3 6100?
