I've had this issue since yesterday, i was downloading something on Steam and when i started it was going just fine.

About half an hour later i tab out of the game i was playing and check the progress, then i notice the yellow warning symbol over my ethernet icon on the desktop.

I use the troubleshooting tool and it does the usual 'checking for problems, resetting router' etc and that doesnt work, i try it again and it skips most of the stuff and just tells me "troubleshooting couldnt identify the problem", it now does this everytime.

Im using a powerline ethernet connector, I've uninstalled the device, reinstalled it and then updated it to the most modern drivers but it made no difference. I tried leaving the PC for a day, made no difference. I tried disconnecting the ethernet cables, made no difference.

Im stuck, what do i do?

(Disconnections are pretty common for me, ill usually be browsing the internet goes down for me and then 5 mins later comes back, this is the first time i havent been able to resolve the issue - also this only happens on my pc, not on other devices using the same network through wifi)

help pls :(

Are both powerline adapters snug and firm in the wall outlets?

First try another known working ethernet cable between your powerline adapter and computer.

Then do the same on the other end with the router to powerline adapter ethernet cable.

Make sure your computer's ethernet adapter is firmly in place be it a PCIx card or USB adapter. Reseat to be sure, try another USB port, etc. to be sure.
