I recently put in a GTX 1070 into my system and I've noticed that loading screens take a very long time. I am unsure if this was a result of the GPU or an HDD issue. My BIOS is flashed to the latest.

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz 24 °C
Skylake 14nm Technology

8.00GB Dual-Channel @ 1199MHz (16-16-16-39)
MSI Z170A GAMING PRO

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (Gigabyte)

1863GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 (SATA)
232GB Crucial CT250BX100SSD1 (SSD)

Solution
It seems that my HDD was put into PIO mode whilst installing the GPU due to the restarts. I fixed it by reinstalling my AHCI Controller in the device manager

Well, I cant see the gpu affecting load times (unless you have one of those fancy pci-e ssd's and are running short on lanes or something weird like that), The only thing I can think of is that maybe you moved your programs from the ssd to the hdd by accident or something?
