Hard Drive won't let me Install windows 7

When go to install windows 7 from my usb ,the installation get stuck at 0% Expanding Windows files and then after a while I get this message Error code: 0x80070002" .I decided to change the RAM slots ,no change .I tried to format the hard drive,it wouldn't let me ,some error came up.I took out the Hard drive and put in another computer just to see if it works.In the other computer it didn't read it at all ,even went to the disk management it wasn't there . Tried different Sata slots too ,I don't know what else to do ?Could you please tell me what the issue could be.

This is a used HDD for my PC build .

Error code: 0x80070002 - - sounds like a defective hard drive to me, especially as you say it's a used one and another PC won't read it on any SATA sport. It has all the hallmarks of a failed drive.

If testing software is able to detect it, you can check it for failure. Use the bootable version of SeaTools (the DOS version).
Doesn't need Windows as it runs in it's own DOS. Get the bootable USB pen drive version here:

So I ran the program on my pc and it said that "SMART trip" had happend before I could run the long test,I checked what that meant ,its basically prediction of drive failure,I take it that my Hard drive is defective
