System Specs: Window 10 64 bit
8GBs of ram but computer only reads 4 or 6GB(another issue I was trying to deal with look below)
motherboard GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard120GB
SSD 500GB HHD
GTX580 GPU
PSU750

The Issue/Story: I recently install some new ram, everything was working just fine, expect the motherboard was only reading 4GB of ram out of the two. (Total of 8GB). Previous ram I had was 6GB of ram (x3 ram with 2GB a piece) I had the same issue with this ram, but I left this alone for a few years now)
When the computer was working fine with the new Ram, I figure the reason why it isn't detecting the ram must be a motherboard issue. So I went to gigabyte website to download their app center to download anything I might need for my motherboard. After that I immediately started to experience some problems. I don't know if it change anything major in my bios or not. So for awhile my computer will boot into bios then windows but immediately blue screen. BSOD caused by grdv.sys SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION So, I wanted to just format the computer to fix any issue I had. BUT I can't format because it will not boot into my cd nor usb drive that has window 10 in it. I know it works because I just recently use to reformat/install windows on another computer successfully.

I am kind of frustrated/flustered and I don't know what I could do to fix the problem.

It was set to ACHI, since I had the window OS on SSD the other drive is a HDD. I guess I can try to change it to IDE.

Do a full reset of BIOS from settings. If that does not help take out the CMOS battery for about 5 mins and the bios should be reset.
Also make sure that the two sticks of ram are placed in alternate channels/slots(the ones colored same).

Yeah they are in the same channel/same color slots on the motherboards there is three blue and three white. The first white to the left is the first slot if I remember correct. Atleast that is how I had it originally, How would I do a reset in BIOS itself? Restore defaults optimize? I'll take some pictures when I can during my reset.

I set it to default, still same issue. Keeps booting into windows crashing with the error / seems to ignore my window OS disc.
Also, I did set it to IDE/RAID same issue. Is there no way for me to completely format? or a safe mode?

Also I found a thread online stating that the error maybe caused by Gigabyte's overclocking utility installed on your windows. If by any chance you can boot into windows(safe mode etc) then remove them and try to boot again.

I have been trying to find a way, but on the bios screen there is nothing that says boot into safe mode. I check the manual/online to see if there is a specific key. Have not found one yet, but I try some random keys hasn't work so far. F5-F8

The other thing I can do is window 10 shows a recovery after I force restart. I do go to troubleshoot but I cant system restore I cant go back to previous build startup repair doesn't work. I see I can go to command prompt maybe I could use that to go into safemode?

edit: tried startup repair and seem to work but I couldn't press F keys on my keyboard screen seem to forze/stop reading my keyboard. I tried another keyboard same issue. Problem seems to be getting worst.
