So I got my new SSD installed it and changed it in my bios to the primary boot after cloning all of the data from my hard drive to SSD. My computer still boots from my hard drive and I can't figure ouit why. I used Macrium reflect since my OCZ SSD did not come with it's own software and in the app it still has a windows symbol next to my HDD. Any help would be appreciated thank you!

1. So what happens when you boot to the cloned SSD when that drive is the ONLY disk connected in the system at the time?

2. So what happens when you boot to the HDD when it is the ONLY disk connected in the system? Boots & functions with no problems, yes?

3. After it seemed that the disk-cloning operation was successful did you IMMEDIATELY boot the system with both the SSD & the HDD connected?

4. When you boot the system now with both drives connected and the system boots to the OS installed on the HDD with (presumably) the SSD recognized as a SECONDARY drive, tell us PRECISELY what's shown in Disk Management relative to any partitions on the SSD. Or better yet, respond with a screenshot of DM.

Here is what I did and it worked for me. After cloning the disks, I simply disconnect the old hard drive, connected the primary sata port to my new ssd and boot with the ssd only. If the boot is successful then I shut down the computer, reconnect the old hard drive to the second sata port (this is my config, for the sata ports, your config might be different). Then I boot with a live cd and erase the old hard drive.

For a live cd you can try:
https://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html (there's an iso you can download )
or
http://www.system-rescue-cd.org/SystemRescueCd_Homepage

Both of them worked for me

Hope it will help you :)
