So I just checked my total data usage of last month....200Gb by just using chrome

is there a program which monitors your data usage per website like: youtube: x-amount of Gb
Google: y-amount of Gb etc etc

There are a number you can find if you just want to run them on your PC. They will only tell you though the usage for that one device. There are similar programs for most models of phones but again it will only tell you for that single device.

Trying to track all devices at your location is not so easy only the router really knows. Some of the routers have added some basic usage reports in their latest firmware....can't remember if it was tplink or asus. Still for very detailed stuff you will have to in effect replace your router. There are some third party firmware that can collect data but you generally also need a server so many times it is easier to just use a server as your router. If you have DSL it will be extremely difficult because there is no third party firmware and you can not connect a pc server to the telephone line.

Thanks for the reply,

It's just for my pc only though, windows 10 tells you how much data you've used in the last 30 days and 200Gb came from google chrome.

It depends on the detail you want. You will find lots of free programs if you search for them. It really depends how detailed you want. A number of people use a firewall called glasswire to do this. The free version is good enough for most people. You can also use wireshark which is massive overkill but since it actually captures the data you can get extremely detail reports of what did what and when.

There are many much simpler programs that track common urls and such. It is not as easy as it once was since most web sites are encrypted and you will just see stuff like facebook when it could be some facebook game and you won't be able to tell.

I can't find the programs for some reason, I'd love the easy option. just a website url and the amount of data used
