Hello Guys,
I want to upgrade my GPU but I can't decide which one should 1 buy from the following 2 GPUs (actually same GPU but 2 manufactures)...

1st one is MSI GTX 960 4GB OC Armor edition

2nd one is Asus GTX 960 4GB Strix Edition

Asus has GPU Boost Clock : 1317 MHZ , GPU Base Clock : 1253 MHz and backplate

MSI has GPU Boost Clock : 1241 MHz , GPU Base Clock : 1178 MHz

But Asus will cost Rs.2500 (almost $40) more than the MSI.
So, please tell me which one should I buy?? The cheaper MSI or the extra cock speed is really worth the money??

by the way my screen resolution is 1600:900 ... so no 4K gaming in consideration...

I was looking in to same graphic cards. But after RX series from AMD came. I changed my mind. GTX 960 is a great graphic card, but after seeing RX 460 with 4 gb, that is cheaper and almost same speed as MSI gtx 960, I decided to get the RX 460 with 4 gb. Rx 470 with 8 gb is a better solution but aprox. 80 dollars more for that graphic card for now is too much for me.

RX 460 uses less power and is smaller then the GTX.

Wait a week or so and get a RX 470 for about the same price and it'll totally smoke any 960. I was looking at getting a 960 (or 380X) until I found out about the upcoming 470/480s. Waiting sux but the 470 will be worth it.

Worth is something only YOU can determine.
Graphics card vendors bin their chips and use the better ones in factory overclocked versions
that they can sell for more. You may be able to OC more, but then again, perhaps not.
They try to differentiate by adding cosmetics and fancy coolers which also sell for more.
I do think you get fair value from a modest factory overclocked card.
If you need more performance, they buy a higher tier card in the first place.

I waited for the GTX 1060 like crazy.. but the irony is, even it's Minimum Selling price is just too high for me :( .. and I use some softwares like Maya, After Effects, Premiere Pro which requires Nvidia cards for better performance... So, Radeon cards isn't in my list..

Bummer. And the 1050 is still a ways off...bet Nvidia launches them sooner than planed cuz AMD will own entry and budget level offerings with the 460 n 470...and thats a big slice of the pie.

imo...4gb of memory is all most folk will ever need with the 470. 8gb is most usefull for ultra high res like 1440 or 4k rendering which the 470 really isn't designed for...hell, neither is the 480 tbh tho it does 'ok' with 1440 at reduced quality settings. Paying an extra $30-$40 for 8gb on the 470 is a waste unless u REALLY need 1440 and don't mind low settings and low frame rates too. jmo ofc...
