Hi so I ran a DDU and shut down, took out my old GPU (HD 7950) and put the new one in. Then after booting the computer it would not go past the bios screen and also wouldn't let me enter the bios, so immediately i stressed out and searched the internet which ended up in me resetting the cmos. This did nothing and i still had the same problem so i put the old GPU back in. The computer then came up with an error inaccessible_boot_device, this resulted in me resetting windows and wiping some apps while keeping important files etc. So after this is done its back to normal. I then think that everything is solved and that I can try the new GPU again but end up getting the same original problem as I cannot boot past the BIOS. I apologise, this is very poorly written as i am very stressed. Is the fault with the GPU or have I done something wrong? any ideas on how to fix this issue? If anything needs clarifying just let me know as I know this is quite confusing.

I'm thinking that the inaccessible boot device was a result of your resetting you BIOS. The BIOS was either in AHCI or IDE before the CMOS reset and when you reset it, it defaulted to the other. Most likely it was set to IDE and when you reset it, it changed to AHCI, but it could have been the other way around.

As for why your new card is keeping your PC from booting past the BIOS screen, it might be nice to have the rest of the system specs.
