Hello,

I recently bought a second hand SM951 M.2 SSD.. Today I installed the Windows 10 and configure almost everything. I ran a test with Crystal Disk Mark 5 to see if the ssd is ok. Unfortunately, the random read/write (4k) is so slow compared to others, based on reviews e.g. I got 55 Mb/s read and 150 Mb/s write which is so poor. After some research I found that maybe it's because some Intel drivers. I have an ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming mobo and I installed the Intel rapid storage technology driver, mixed with AHCI. My SSD is NVMe so the problem might come from here. Any suggestion what should I do to improve my precious, new drive ? :) (I found also there is an NVMe driver for SM951 but it's rare)(Condition 100/100% ,barely was used before me)

You need the following NVME driver......dont worry that its from HP website, they seem to be the only one offering the correct driver for this m.2 drive.

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=wk_149537_1

Then install the driver exactly like the guy in this video:

Then you should hope see some better results....like:

I stupidly didn't take a picture of the benchmark results before I updated to the NMVE driver, but they did look similar to the guy in the youtube video....a bit slower as I'm using a slower cpu.
