Should I do this 'trade' ?

I have an Asus GTX 980Ti Strix and I got a really nice offer from a friend, he knows that i bought it like 20 days ago, so he's willing to pay almost the same that i paid for it, then I was wondering if it would be good to sell and add like 40$ more and go for a gtx 1070 G1... I really love my gpu but i think i could let it go if its a smart upgrade. the question is: should I go for it or the 980ti is fine ?

It would be a great sell.
Go for the G1 Gaming 1070, as it will have better performance in upcoming titles due to the optimization and technologies implemented with Pascal. It performs 3% better than the 980ti at stock speeds, not to mention the factory OC and GPU Boost 3.0.
It will also feature better DX12 support for games in the future, where the 980ti will fall off by quite a bit.

tbh is a little bit more like 50~60$ but im not planning to do this unless 1070 has a really 'game breaker' feature or idk
