I'm wanting to start playing wow and I'm looking for a good pre built pc. I'm not sure which pc would be the best way to go.

Solution
Most pre built pc's aren't good. here's a good custom built pc just for WoW and other popular games( dota 2, LoL, Cs:GO, )
CPU: i5-6400.
https://www.amazon.com/Intel-I5-6400-FC-LGA14C-Processor-BX80662I56400/dp/B010T6CG7E/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1470967231&sr=1-5&keywords=i5
I chosed an i5 because this is a really good core for this generation. Plus, if you want upgrades, you dont have to upgrade the CPU. if you want a cheaper one, go for this: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-I3-4160-Processor-Hyper-Threading-BX80646I34160/dp/B00LV8U0VE/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1470910090&sr=1-2&keywords=i3

GPU: GTX 750ti...

This bad boy is one of the best mid-range graphic cards out there. It would do really well at WoW and other games(just not next gen games) Trust me, you won't regret buying this

If you want a good machine to play WoW and other stuff in Ultra etc.. i would pick the following.

CPU: Intel Core i5 6400
Motherboard: MSI Z170A SLI PLUS
RAM: 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz
SSD: 120GB
HDD: 1TB
Graphic Card: GTX 960 | GTX 1060 | RX470
PSU: XFX TS430W 80+ Bronze or a XFX 500W

With this setup you would have a PC for many years :)

these people are going way way way overkill if you're only wanting to play WoW
go on ebay and type in "gaming PC" that's how i started off then you always have the option to upgrade to play even more games.
look online for "world of warcraft system requirements" and compare them to whatever build you might be buying

That is not overkill, for WoW. Legion is more demanding, than WoD. Requirements go up every expansion. Legion actually came with 3 more demanding graphics settings, than we had for from WoD. Legion 7 is WoD ultra. An i3 6100, with a GTX 950, is the lowest I would really want to go.

Yea they tweak the graphics engine, each expansion. WoW was one of the first titles, to get DX 11 support, when they added it for Cata, for instance. My laptop that ran Cata, @ ultra 720p, has to run on low, for Legion. Legion zones look really nice. They changed character models, during WoD, too.

So how do you benefit from the new graphics? Do you have to be in a new zone? Because I was wanting to start wow too but having difficulty choosing between wow and a realm reborn

They haven't really updated the old zones much. Outland and Northrend look pretty much the same as they did when they were current. Cata zones it starts looking better. Pandaria was a really nice looking zone. Draenor was nice too. Broken isles definitely was an improvement. Spell and attack effects were given new animations, for Legion. Blizzard changed strategy, from past releases, and now you can buy WoW, and get all the expansions, excluding the current one. So the base game, you can buy now, and when you hit 100, then you can buy legion, unless you want to play a demon hunter.
