Is a 430W PSU enough for RX 480/70?

The PSU is: XFX Pro450S 430W.
The specs are:
i5 4460
ASRock H81M-VG4 R2.0
1 simple module of 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM.
Is this PSU enough for this build and RX 470/80?

Should be fine. An RX 480 + I5-4460 rig while gaming should not go past 200W. Under a stress test it could reach 240W about. Overclocking the GPU or an aftermarket could make the system reach 250W while gaming or about 290W under stress test.

No reason to replace the XFX TS 430 (also known as XFX Pro450S).

There is no reason to replace his PSU. Any 32 euro PSU you find will be only more sucky. There is more to a PSU than just whatever wattage number they slap on the label. In the UK the XFX TS 430 is always one of the best buys. Almost every single-GPU gaming system today, should not require more than a 450W PSU. There is a chance that it might but just for safety I'd go for a high quality 500/550w PSU, rather have extra wattage than a Dying PC. A great choice would be to invest into a good 650 PSU so you can later go crossfire (2 gpu's) or if you later upgrade/build a better pc you will save some money. If I'm buying a 480 then it will be a cheap 4 GB version, probably a Powerclor one with 2 coolers or something like that.

When using aftermarket coolers, they draw more power, It is a good choice notto run PSUs on full power since thier lifetime is decreased.

I meant cheaper for the future. If he wants to upgrade/crossfire/build new pc (which he will have to one day) buying a 650w psu right away is cheaper than buying a 430w PSU and then a 650 w psu

I probably should've included more information. NO I am not planning to crossfire(Look at the mobo). Also I'm planning to use this build for the next 4-5 years. When I will upgrade it next time I will have the cash for everything. I don't want the PSU to be futureproof, I just want it to work well with an RX470/80. And no, I still haven't bought any of these components.

In that case it is enough if you plan running the psu on full power. However running the psu for 5 years at full power it isn't going to last. I'd recomend getting some 500w PSU and running it to 90% if you don't plan to upgrade anything. Get the 8gb version if you want it to last for 5 years. While 8GB for 1080p my seem overkill, I remember when everyone used 2GB gpu's and 3gb seemed a joke. Then BAM! The 2 Gb where stuttering and we switched to 3gb, then the same thing will happen to 4GB and maybe even 6GB in the next 5 years. And stay with xfx when it comes to PSUs, great brand.

i was suggesting for you to get 500w unit so will you have a bit of headroom. you want to use this system for 4-5 years. that is very long. and further down the road there will be time the gpu probably can no longer keep up with games. at that point you probably thinking of OCing your graphic card to get few percentage of free performance. this is when the headroom in PSU comes into the play.

I just want an yes/no type of answer to my question. I won't OC anything. And IMO a card that can run most games at ultra 60fps in 2016 will have no problem running games at low 720p 30+fps in 2021.

At full power a psu won't last 5 years. So if you wan a yes no type of answer then NO, it won't last, and if it will it will son bottleneck ur components just get a frikin 500w PSU, it will cost about the same. So why make such a huge fuss if it costs the same?

Go ahead, find a DECENT 500W PSU at around the same price as this one(It costs 32 eur), The website is www.computeruniverse.net. Set the country to one outside of EU so you will get the prices w/o VAT.
