Do i really need to connect power led and reset led to motherboard ?

I am building the new gaming pc but i am using the old cabinet (10 years old) and the cabinet pins (hdd led and power led) is somewhat combined together to form one pin so do i really need to connect these pins to the motherboard because its so confusing if its necessary how to connect ? and it has got reset sw but no power sw pin.

Leds are only for your convenience plus they help diagnosing problems.
But they are not really necessary for PC operation.

If you don't need them, you don't have to connect them but how are you going to start it ?

Start switch and reset switch are exactly same, momentary push button, normally open switches so can be used for both functions.

The power and HDD LED's aren't necessary. You can just connect the reset sw leads from the case to the pwr pins on the motherboard front panel connector and all will be good.

It's possible that Power(Start) switch and reset switch are combined in one button, Those pictures suggest it's like that.
