Just assembled a new computer:

Gigabyte B150 HD3P Motherboard with an i7 6700k. Installed everything very carefully following instructions. However when starting the mainboard does not even make it to the boot menu. And the monitor gets no signal. The power supply is a 600W sharkoon.

I removed all hard drives and the GPU and plugged the monitor into the onboard GPU, still the same problem. All 3 fans work (case, PSU, GPU).

The system spins up, then after 15 seconds it appears the mainboard is turning itself off for a moment (fans stop spinning for a brief time) and then it starts again. I checked all power supply connections. The CPU installation, I was carefully following all instructions, removed the foil from the marked areas before applying the thermal paste.

I have build another PC 2 years ago where the same procedure worked flawlessly. Unless I am overlooking something. Any advice would be very helpful.

Solution
When running multiple channel ram make sure that you have the rams installed on the same colored slots(mostly alternate ones).
Try resetting the bios by taking out the CMOS battery for 5-8 mins.
And does it depend which stick of ram you use while booting? Can you boot with either of the two sticks or is it just a particular stick always?
If it is booting with either of the sticks I am gonna recommend you to return the mobo as it appears faulty.

After trying out the 2 ram sticks (8gb each) in different slots, it finally does boot but only if there is only one stick in the DDR4_2 slot, which is the second if counted from the CPU (4, 2 ,3 1)
And some times it wont boot at all.
All components are new except for the PSU. Any advice?
