iPod Classic 160GB won't restore..

My iPod doesn't show up my music anymore and can't restore it 'cause it doesn't work on iTunes it says Error restoring iPod "ipod".. I tried to open the directory in Windows Explorer and it takes forever to load.. What can I DOOO!

Can you do a manual factory reset?
Make sure your iPod is plugged into your computer, and hold down the screensaver button and the home button hard for about 5-10 seconds.
This will then prompt you to either restore it if you have a backup or reset it to factory conditions which will most likely fix your issue.
