fx-6300 in Asus M5A78l-m usb3 can I overclock

I am new to the pc building community, but I have started to build my first pc and I want to overclock my FX-6300 on a cheap Asus M5A78l-M/usb3. I want to at least a overclock my cpu up to 4.2ghz. My specs are:

FX-6300
Asus M5A78l-M/usb3
Corsair Vengeance (2x4gb)
SanDisk 480gb Extreme Pro
EVGA 500watt silver
Windows 10 64-bit
Zalman neo 1 case
Later on a Asus Strix R7 370 4gb

Can I overclock on this board?

FX 6300 has a built in turbo (boosted p state) of 4.1Ghz already.

You can try some overclocking on stock cooler too by raising multiplier in bios. Disable turbo. Use AMD overdrive to check stability and thermal margins (should not go below 20C on full load to be safe).

I am sure you can reach upto 4.4 / 4.5Ghz with stock cooler. If you want to go further buy a better cooler.
