OBS Studio(multiplatform) doesn't stop recording

So I will record and stream and such, but when I go to press stop recording, the stop recording button changes to "Stopping recording...." and sits there for hours on end.

I can't just wait it out to see if it'll stop on it's own because it continues recording while "stopping recording..."

I know I have to upload a log file to get any help. But I can't find it :p
If someone could tell me how to get to the log file as well that would be nice.

I would report the bug to the obs studio. Sometimes there are bug fixes for these third parties that don't get into the main upgrade chain. If that happens again you can kill any linux window by opening a console window (on my ubuntu installation, its ctrl-alt-t ) and type: xkill. the mouse pointer will turn into an X and you mouse over the window you wish to force close and left click to kill that window.
