Greetings. I am looking for a graphics card that is DirectX 10.1 compatible. I am looking for a part that is as budget friendly as possible. If anyone who is knowledgable with GPUs can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly.

I am hoping to learn the most budget friendly option for both Geforce and Radeon that meet the above specification.

Solution

If you want to stream from your PC then get at least an GT650 because it's the first to have nvenc it can record/stream in real time, but look out only newer versions of the 650 have this.

Also, most current intel CPUs(all haswell and some earlier) have quicksync that is also supported by OBS.

Thank you for your response. I read the article and it seems to be mainly focused on newer graphics cards which I would guess carry a higher sticker price. I am looking for the most budget friendly option here. I also didn't see anything in relation to whether or not the described cards are DirectX 10.1 compatible. I would assume they all probably are though seeing as how they are newer releases.

I need it for running streaming software such as OBS or Xsplit. I don't plan to use it for PC gaming.

Thank you for your recommendation. I unfortunately wasn't able to find much as far as sellers for the GT650. I am looking at the GTX 950 now though. I found one from a reputable retailer for approximately $105 after rebate. Seems like an awesome deal.

As far as CPUs go I'm trying to figure out what the budget AMD equivalent to a 2nd gen i7 would be.
