im trying to access port 80 to access a web relay

I can access it on the LAN but not from outside the local network
ive moved the router port to 8080
ive set up web forwarding to the device on the LAN

my ip is static - not sure if i need to do anything on the router to set this up?
ive disabled firewalls and checked the isp does not block it

Any advice?

If you've set a static IP address on the PC, you need to make sure it is outside of the DHCP range of the router.

Make sure you receive a ping response from your public IP address from outside your network.

Have you been able to successfully forward any other ports on this router?

Thanks
1) Ive made the IP outside that of the router
2) will test ping when im in work as no other network available at home
3) ive not set up another port on this router - is there a simple port i can open to check im doing it right?

Hi Again
I tried using portworwarding to set the port and it give an error- conflict in mapping entry

I thought i had moved the router from 80 but clearly not? in which case how do i move the router off port 80?

Check the "Remote Web Management" page of your router to change the port.

(pg. 74 of the user manual: http://m.setuprouter.com/router/tenda/w300d/manual-1784.pdf)

When setting a static IP outside of the DHCP scope, make sure it is still within the same subnet.
