Wireless router works fine as long as DSL input is not connected to modem. With DSL line connected to modem wireless printer doesn't receive print message. In other words computer, printer & router all work fine together until plug carrying DSL signal is connected to modem. On-line access works fine when DSL is connected.

Solution
I have seen very slow printing over a shared printer on the router USB port, but that does not seem like that is what you are doing. Does the setup work normally if you use ethernet to connect the printer and the computer to the router? I don't know what the DSL connection would be doing to cause printer issues, the modem looks like a regular modem not a gateway with a router inside also, so the double NAT or DHCP server issue would not be causing issues for you.
Sounds like you have dual DHCP servers online or your network is not connected properly to DSL. How are things wired together? DSL Modem should be connected to the router, and set to pass-through mode, or the router needs to have DHCP shut off so that is provided by the ISP Modem/Gateway. Depends on exactly what you have.

I have a simple system and it worked fine for a year or so until it began to delay printing by as much as 30 minutes after I initiated the Print function on the computer. This was in April 2016, at tax time. Eventually it occasionally didn’t print at all until I had the idea to unplug the DSL phone line from the modem. Then I had unobstructed printing.

The DSL line plugs into a Siemens Speedstream 4100 Ethernet ADSL modem supplied by the ISP, AT&T. The modem is connected to a Router, Belkin model N750, Dual Band n+. The computer is an HP 520-1047F desktop which has no cables except for the power cable. The mouse and the keyboard are wireless. The printer, Brother model MFC-J6510DW is also communicating wirelessly. That’s everything.
As I said previously, everything worked fine for a while.
While I was typing this, the printer printed something I had sent to it about 45 minutes earlier.
Is there something AT&T could be doing to the signal that is locking up the router?

I don't think I have any Ethernet cables. However I will keep that option in mind.
Suddenly, just tonight, I can print without delay from "My Documents", my e-mails and from web pages. All with the DSL connected. I didn't knowingly change anything or do anything different. I did note that my e-mail was acting very squirrely, jumping from an e-mail back to the inbox list several times and once completely out to where I had to sign back in. Then it appeared stable and suddenly I could print normally.
I will shut down as usual tonight and see what happens tomorrow evening when I restart. Thanks "hang-the-9" for your help and I will keep you posted.
