Hello everyone and thank you for taking a moment to read this, all of this just accord and I really need any and all help figuring out the culprit.

OS Windows 10 (fully updated)
AMD Drivers (were out dated, explained below)
Ram 4GB DDR3 1600MHZ Jaws-x Memory x 2
Corsair CX750 WATT PSU
Gigabyte GA-990FXA Motherboard
HIS AMD R9 280x 3GB GPU

I've never had the following issue before, following is chain of events.

1) Logged out of World of Warcraft.
2) Had a flicker and a blue screen with white lines, not the normal BSOD.
3) Had to force my PC to restart, no Cntr Alt Delete, nothing, used button on case.
4) System restarted no issue. I checked the event viewer and it noted the improper shut down.
5) Launched Blizzards App (like normal) and tried to log in, as the loading screen came up, it crashed a 2nd time. Same thing a blue/whitish screen.
6) Had to force pc a 2nd time to restart.
7) Uninstalled all AMD drivers (which were old) downloaded and installed newest ones, restarted PC.
8) Launched Counter Strike GO from steam, it launched perfectly fine, after 2-3 minutes of a Gun Game, it crashed again, Grayish screen with a slight buzzing that stopped. Had to shut down PC and start it back up.
9) PC came back up and is currently fine, no issues while not playing a game.

TL;DR

Crashed while I was logging out of Wow. Had to force restart. Crashed again on launching of wow (at loading screen) updated video drivers. Crashed again after 2-3 minutes of playing CS:GO.

Trying to figure out through these symptoms

I do not have a 2nd PC but I do have a 2nd PSU and a GPU I can test.

What does this sound like to you guys/gals? It's not the normal BSOD I've seen before, it's like the GPU freezes/crashes. Could a PSU cause this to happen? how about RAM?

Any and all suggestions would be awesome. ATM the only thing I can think of is to install my older GPU in the system can test. But it's a smaller card and wont pull a lot of power so I wouldn't' know if it's the PSU.

Also my BIGGEST concern is the fact I have to force my PC to shut down or restart with I know is terrible to do and can cause corruption on the HDD. So I'm trying to narrow down any thing I can.

Thanks again for taken you time in reading.

Thank you for your response. I just ran that program and it only showed the crash that happened on 1/10/2015. It doesn't show any crashes since then, does that mean that what is happening is not a BSOD issue?

I can't actually test in game cause it crashes when I launch them/play them. Also I'm afraid to corrupting my HDD if I have to keep hard restarting/shutting down my PC.

I was actually playing Overwatch yesterday and noted the temps were fine and that game makes GPU's run hot. So as of right now I'm looking at a PSU issue. That might explain why it crashed while @ the loading screen for wow (which pulls the GPU hard for some reason) and while playing CS:GO it crashed after 2-3 minutes.

Thanks again Bad, really nice to have some back up on these issues.

So I replaced my PSU and everyting booted up fine, tried to launch a game and instant green screen, had to hard shut down and back up.

So that narrows it down to GPU. I'll replace that and give it a test.

Thanks for the help guys, I ended up replacing my R280x with a older HD7770 I had around and no crashes at all when loading games. So gonna have to say it was my GPU that decided to die on me.

I'd love to have a RX470 actually, it's a better cared (from what I've read) than the 280x for 200 or less.

I could get that and a new PSU, so I'll know it's all good.
